A man named Brian from New Jersey saved Sadie, a German Shepherd from the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, six years ago. He never expected that he would be given a second chance at life because of Sadie later on. It was good karma for him that he rescued a dog without expecting anything in return.
The incident happened at Brian’s house, and his only companion at that time was his dog. Out of the blue, Brian fell because he suffered from a stroke. Since Brian was not moving, Sadie noticed right away that something was wrong. She licked her owner’s face with hopes that Brian would respond, but when nothing happened, she dragged Brian to the other room to get hold of his cellphone.
The heroic act of Sadie immediately made rounds online. Because of what she did, Brian got to contact people for help. Had she not thought of bringing Brian to his phone, the worse could have happened. It was impressive how Sadie was that intelligent, to be able to think that the way to survive the situation was through the use of a mobile phone.
While Brian was recovering at the rehabilitation center, Sadie was taken care of by Brian’s family. Just so Sadie and Brian would not miss each other, they would always do a video call each night. They were acting like how a father and a daughter would do in situations like that.
Many people had considered Sadie as a hero, and her action was another example of how dogs could be so great that they could save a life, especially their owner’s life.
Shown in the video was Brian’s interview wherein he shared all details of the incident and how he felt about the whole thing. Watch the video below to hear how grateful he was to his dog.
